Merry Christmas from Yellowstone!

Once again Emily's planning brings our family an amazing experience. On Christmas day we took a 3ish hour "snowcat" ride into Yellowstone Snow Lodge. Here is a shot of Damonte and Em enjoying a hot chocolate at a break in our ride into the lodge.

During the winter, all roads are closed in Yellowstone, so you have to ride in on these machines. It also means there are a limited number of other people experiencing this amazing place. Here are a couple of examples of our view on the way in:

The boys are taking some great pictures (actually a TON of great pictures!) When we get to a place with better internet, I will post a link to each of the boys' photo streams.

We do miss spending the holidays with all of our family, but if you are going to be away from everyone, this is the place to do it!

  1. Looks awesome! I guess it is worth sacrificing WI state breakfast and, for Ik and Maurice, a good bloody mary!
