Los Rancheros

When we first did our scouting trip to Mexico to find a place to live, Damonte expressed his complete disappointment that we would not be living on un rancho con burros. Since we wanted a city that was walkable with all the things we needed close by, obviously, un rancho was not going to do it.

But since the cousins were in town, and Emily loves to plan a good trip, this last weekend Emily found un ranchero we could visit. Like all the other things Emily plans, it turned out fantastic. We all had the time of our lives.

Los Rancheros
We road for about 3 hours in an amazing canyon. We got to go down steep little rocky trails down into the canyon, ride along the bottom, through the creek, and gallop across open fields. It was a blast. With the exception of one incident between brothers every thing was flawless. (Be sure to ask Kent why he ran his brother off the trail and into a large tree/cactus!) The day even included an amazing meal with the family that owned the ranch.

And of course, burros!
