We Made It!

After a lot of cars, planes, buses, and taxis we finally made it! The last leg was clearly the longest and wiped us out the most. With a red eye flight and catching taxis and buses in Guadalajara and Guanajuato and then 8 hours to kill before we could even see a bed, it is amazing we didn't have a mutiny. The boys have been troopers. With all of the logistics we didn't focus on taking pictures, but we are now settling in, so expect lots more too come.

We are now in our new home, and everything is great. We have tons of space, and great views everywhere.

The  boys have pulled their three beds into one room, and made their own bunk house. But based on the laughter and pillow fights, that arrangement might not last too long! And although we have already started scouting the markets and finding great local fresh produce, the boys love all of the little cosinas right by the house. At every place we eat, Maurice says to me mid way through the meal, "Can we eat here tomorrow too?" And Rico said to me after eating a plate of carne asada, pork ribs (in a wonderful sauce!) and a cactus dish, all with freshly made warm tortillas, "This is good! I thought we would just be eating tacos and enchiladas the whole time." And of course we had to go back to Damonte's favorite rotisserie chicken place!

We still have not gotten the boys enrolled in school. We had to wait until we got down here, and do it in person. But once we got to the district office, (which we did find!) It was neither called USAER, nor a white building, it was closed. Which makes sense. The term starts on Monday, so we will go back then.
